Thirteen people bought it back
Harley-Davidson got bought by a company that knew how to mass-produce bowling balls, quality collapsed, and market share fell from around eighty percent to under twenty. Thirteen people, including family of the original founders, bought it back, rode across the country to one of their own factories, and documented the whole journey to prove the owners actually ride. When people sneered that's just a hog, they took the word, built the Harley Owners Group, and turned the insult into a club people tattoo on their bodies.
