Who we are and how to contact us

EntreKey LLC operates Chirag Speaks, The Brand Historian, and Good Brands Don’t Whisper. This policy covers personal information handled through this website, its inquiry and newsletter forms, resource requests, and related communications.

For questions about your information or to make a privacy request, email Chirag@ChiragSpeaks.com.

Information you provide

When you submit a form, email us, request a speaker packet, join the newsletter, inquire about an event, or book a service, we receive the information you choose to provide. This can include your name, email address, organization, role, event details, scheduling preferences, newsletter choices, and the contents of your message.

Please avoid including sensitive personal information about yourself or other people in general contact forms. Our website forms do not ask for payment-card details. If a booking involves payment, the checkout provider handles the information requested by its payment process.

Hosting, forms, and technical information

Netlify hosts this website and processes submissions made through its website forms. Form submissions are stored so we can respond, fulfill requests, and retain relevant records. Hosting and security services also process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP addresses, browser information, requested URLs, and request times.

Website fonts are served from our own website rather than loaded from a third-party font service. See Netlify’s privacy information for information about its own practices. Where Netlify processes information on our behalf, our service arrangements also govern that processing.

How we use your information

We use information to respond to messages, deliver requested materials, discuss speaking opportunities, arrange private sessions, administer bookings and transactions, and provide communications you request. We also use relevant records to maintain service continuity, address problems, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations.

Requesting a speaker packet or making an inquiry does not, by itself, subscribe you to the newsletter. We may follow up about the specific request or opportunity you contacted us about.

Post-talk resource requests

When you request resources after a talk, we store your email, optional first name, selected resource IDs, any event context, and the version of the request wording through Netlify Forms. The resource links open on the website after a successful request. This request does not promise an automatic email copy.

The separate newsletter checkbox records a signup request only when you select it. Leaving it unchecked does not subscribe you to ongoing emails. Newsletter requests may require processing before delivery begins. Resource access does not depend on leaving a testimonial or choosing newsletter updates.

Post-talk feedback and testimonials

Post-talk feedback is stored through Netlify Forms along with the publication choice and any name, role, organization, event, or email address you provide. We review submissions before publishing a testimonial. Feedback is not automatically added to the website.

If you choose a named quote, we may quote your words on our website, in speaker materials, and on social media using the name and any role or organization you provide. If you choose an anonymous quote, we leave those identifying details out. If you choose private feedback, we do not publish it. Providing feedback does not subscribe you to a mailing list.

An email address on the feedback form is optional and is used for follow-up about your feedback. To change your publication choice or request removal, contact Chirag@ChiragSpeaks.com.

Speaker packets, newsletters, and email preferences

We use Kit for speaker-packet confirmation and resource-delivery emails. When you request the speaker packet, your email address and first name are passed to Kit for that delivery process. Kit may ask you to confirm your request before providing access.

Newsletter requests submitted through this website are saved through our form system and may require processing before newsletter delivery begins. If you choose to subscribe, we use your email address and relevant signup information to send brand stories, exercises, resources, and updates about our content and services. We keep newsletter choices separate from general inquiries.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using their unsubscribe link or by contacting Chirag@ChiragSpeaks.com. We may keep a limited suppression record to respect an opt-out. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop necessary responses about an inquiry, booking, payment, or privacy request.

Email providers may process delivery information and, where enabled, information about email opens or link clicks. See Kit’s privacy policy for its practices.

The story brief exercise

The “What Will They Say About You?” exercise stores your answers in browser session storage so you can refresh the current tab and continue. The exercise does not send those answers to us, submit them to an AI service, or automatically include them in newsletter, booking, or speaker-packet requests.

You can clear your draft, copy your brief, or print it using the exercise controls. Session storage normally ends when the tab session ends; browser recovery settings can affect this. A copied, printed, or saved version is under your control. If browser storage is unavailable, draft recovery may not work.

If you previously submitted a story-brief contact or newsletter request through an earlier version of the website, we may retain that request and your recorded choices. Answers were included in those saved requests only if you chose to share them. You can contact us about those records.

Video previews and YouTube

Some pages display video thumbnails loaded from YouTube’s image servers. Loading a thumbnail sends a request to that provider even if you do not play the video, which can disclose technical information such as your IP address and browser details.

On episode watch pages, the YouTube player can load when you open the page, before you start playback. Other video previews load a player only after you choose to play. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed domain. This does not make playback anonymous or prevent all processing by Google. Playing a video connects your browser to YouTube, which may process viewing and device information and use storage or account information under its own settings and policies. See Google’s privacy policy.

Browser storage and analytics

The story exercise uses browser session storage for draft recovery. Hosting, security, or third-party services you choose to use may also use cookies or similar technologies for their own functions. Your browser provides controls to remove stored information and restrict cookies; restricting storage may affect draft recovery or other functionality.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand website use and campaign performance. For visits identified by our hosting provider as originating in the United States, analytics starts automatically unless you have rejected it or your browser sends Global Privacy Control. For other locations, including the EEA, UK and Switzerland, or when location cannot be determined, analytics stays off until you choose Allow analytics. We use only a country-level decision for this control, not your precise location. You can turn analytics off using Privacy settings in the footer, and use the website, exercise, forms and booking links without analytics. Continuing to browse is not treated as consent where we ask for permission.

Google Analytics and your choice

When analytics is enabled, Google processes information about website use, such as page views, browser and device characteristics, and interactions with our content. Our site events measure actions such as completing the story exercise, clicking newsletter, packet, or booking links, and receipt of form requests. Series measurements can include fixed public film identifiers and button locations. When analytics is permitted, the YouTube Player API measures playback starts, portions played and endings. A booking-link click is not proof of a completed booking, and a saved newsletter request is not proof of a confirmed subscription.

Our explicit site events do not include form entries, email addresses, names, or story-exercise answers. We preserve standard UTM campaign labels in page URLs so we can understand which sources and campaigns bring visitors. Other page query parameters and fragments are excluded, and referring URLs omit query parameters and fragments. Campaign labels must not contain personal information. Depending on the enabled Analytics stream settings, standard measurement can also record scrolling, outbound-link destinations, file-download links, and supported embedded-video engagement. Our tag disables Google signals and advertising personalization, and keeps advertising consent signals denied. We have not installed advertising pixels or session-replay tools.

Google Analytics may use first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_B794R8NLXR when analytics is enabled. Our configuration sets their lifetime to up to 180 days. A separate local browser preference records your allow or reject choice for up to 180 days; browser restrictions or clearing storage may cause the choice to appear again. This preference is used to remember your privacy choice.

Use Privacy settings in the footer to allow or reject analytics later. Rejecting after allowing stops our measurement, attempts to remove this site’s Analytics cookies, and reloads the page to stop the previously loaded tag. It does not delete data already sent to Google; contact us about applicable deletion requests. Hosting and third-party processing described in other sections can still occur regardless of the analytics choice. See Google’s privacy policy.

Scheduling and external links

Private-session links take you to Calendly. Information you enter there is processed by Calendly and made available to us as needed to manage the booking. Review the booking details and any checkout terms before confirming. See Calendly’s privacy notice.

Links to social platforms, video services, newsletter archives, and other external pages take you to services with their own privacy and storage practices. Opening those pages can share technical information with the destination service. We do not automatically send your story-exercise answers with these links.

Who can receive information

Relevant information may be available to providers supporting hosting, forms, email, scheduling, payments, storage, and business administration, and to team members or contractors helping us respond or deliver services. We share information needed for those purposes.

We may share relevant details with an event organizer to arrange an engagement you request, with professional advisers, when required by law, or when reasonably necessary to address fraud, security, or legal claims. Information may also be transferred in a business sale or reorganization, subject to applicable requirements.

Legal grounds where required

Where applicable data protection law requires a legal ground for processing, we rely on the ground appropriate to the activity: taking steps you request before a contract or performing a contract for services, consent where required for marketing or optional technologies, legitimate interests in handling relevant business inquiries and protecting our services, and compliance with legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.

Retention and security

We retain personal information as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including active inquiries, requested resources, subscriptions, services, financial records, and applicable legal or dispute-resolution requirements. Retention can differ by record type and provider. Exercise drafts use browser session storage as described above rather than a server-side exercise database.

We use reasonable safeguards for information we handle, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Contact us if you believe information submitted to us has been exposed or used improperly.

Your privacy requests

Email Chirag@ChiragSpeaks.com to ask about information we hold, request a copy or correction, request deletion, or change your communication preferences. Describe the request and the email address you used so we can locate relevant records. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

Your rights depend on the laws that apply and may include access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, restriction, withdrawal of consent, or a complaint to a privacy regulator. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, suppression, or recordkeeping reasons. Where an appeal right applies, reply to our response to request a review.

International processing

EntreKey LLC operates in the United States. We and our providers may process information in the United States or other countries with different privacy laws. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, those requirements apply to the relevant processing.

Children’s privacy

Our inquiry, subscription, and booking services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact Chirag@ChiragSpeaks.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices change. The date above identifies the latest update. We will provide additional notice or seek consent when required.
